Ancient Evil
The finale of the Chaos story — Scarlett, Diego, Bruno and Shaw descend on ancient Delphi beneath Mount Olympus to stop the Order once and for all. Ride the Pegasus to the Dark Side, open Pack-a-Punch, build Apollo's Will and the four elemental God Hands (Charon, Hemera, Ouranos, Gaia), then work the long Greek Tragedy ritual chain that ends with the Pegasus and a corrupted Perseus. Fully solo-capable; co-op only splits the roles. NOTE: this map has no single named wonder weapon — the God Hand gauntlets ARE the wonder weapons.
Key areas
Amphitheater (spawn)
The Sentinel Artifact, the Eternal Flame, the three tribute challenges, and the Hit Your Marks shooting-gallery with the four coloured home circles.
Marketplace / Temple of Apollo
Early wall-buys, the Apollo's Will workbench, oracle tributes, and Dormant-Hand offering bowls; steps to the Stoa.
Stoa of the Athenians / Spartan Monument
The three rotating citizen statues, a gear wall, the Golden Bridle pedestal, oil spills, and the Pegasus launch point.
Offering of the Attalids
The Danu statue and Gaia root sets, the sundial and golden-pole dais, and Charon river/coin route toward Odin.
Dark Side — River of Sorrow / Center of the World
Reached by Pegasus: the two eagle cages, the God-Hand ritual shrines, the three Ouranos arrows, and Pack-a-Punch.
Boss Islands (Olympus)
The point-of-no-return portal from the cleansed Center of the World, the collapsing sky-islands for Pegasus, and the columns arena for Perseus.

Full walkthrough
Turn the map on: Artifact, Bridle, Pegasus, eagles, Pack-a-Punch
Activate the Sentinel Artifact in the Amphitheater — this spawns three Spartoi that resurrect unless killed with headshots, then a survival phase that ends with Zeus's lightning event (this is what actually powers the map) as the Pegasus swoops in and clears the remaining enemies. Take the Golden Bridle from the Intersection of Treasuries or the Stoa pedestal (kill the Gegenees minotaur it spawns), then mount the Pegasus at the Spartan Monument and ride it across to the Dark Side. Free both eagle cages — doing so triggers the Center of the World lockdown (Spartoi and zombies) — then survive it while the two freed eagles crank the machine open, which unlocks Pack-a-Punch. Return to the Light Side through the portal behind PaP or the River of Sorrow.
Specialist needed: each eagle cage has a fiery section you must break with Specialist weapon damage, not bullets — bank your Specialist before riding across.
- Python Pass eagle — shoot the hanging cage chain, then hit the glowing/fiery cage section with Specialist damage; kill or control the spawned Gegenees
- Cliff Ruins eagle — clear the skeletons around the grounded cage, then break its fiery section with Specialist damage
Build the Apollo's Will shield
Collect the three shield components — the spear, the bracer, and the shield face — from their Light-Side and Dark-Side spawn pools (bowls, pedestals and Gegenees drops), then assemble Apollo's Will at a workbench. The finished shield doubles as the flaming spear used to light oils and stop gears, and its charged spear-throw is required for several ritual steps.
Randomised: shield-piece spawn spots rotate between fixed candidate locations each match — sweep the bowls/pedestals rather than memorising one spot.
Ignite the Eternal Flame
Complete the map's tribute challenges (the oracle/offering objectives, e.g. reaching Epic rank on the spawn-room tributes) and bank enough reward value at the Amphitheater's Eternal Flame. When the threshold is met the flame ignites — this is the gate that lets the main quest proceed and gives you the flame to light the Apollo spear.
Fastest path by squad size: solo = 1 Epic + 1 Legendary trial; duo = 3 Epic; trio = 4 Epic + 1 Legendary; four players = 6 Epic. In co-op split the tributes across the crew to ignite the flame faster.
Obtain the God Hands (wonder weapons)
Search the offering bowls, vases, dirt piles and rocks around Delphi for a Dormant Hand (they carry a coloured glow). Carry one to a matching ritual site, place it, and survive the coloured-zombie lockdown to receive a Fallen God Hand. Repeat to obtain each of the four. Each Hand fires three auto-targeting projectiles and has a distinct charged effect.
The four Hands and their roles: Charon opens underworld portals that drag zombies down (used for the Zeus blood-vision). Hemera fires exploding light orbs (given to Ra). Ouranos blows zombies away with wind bursts (rotates the ballista). Gaia is the nature/earth hand whose charged shot auto-links nearby roots.
Randomised: Dormant Hand spawn positions and the tribute requirement are randomised each match. Home-circle colours for Hit Your Marks are shown live in-game — source guides disagree on the exact colour-to-element labels, so read your own match.
Redeem the four God Hands
Each Fallen Hand must be upgraded to its Redeemed form through its own trial, then finished in a portal. Every player who runs Hit Your Marks must carry a Redeemed Hand, so redeem at least the required set (Charon, Hemera, Ouranos, plus Gaia for the roots) before the ritual chain.
Charon coins are randomised: during the Charon trial the coins that spawn are randomly real or fake — only real coins bank at the shrine. Read each pickup in your own match.
- Charon — kill zombies with the Hand near the Odin perk machine (river area), drink from the water while prone, then collect REAL coins around the map and deposit them at the Charon Shrine; finish the portal trial
- Hemera — find and align three mirrors, ricochet a Hemera light orb through each into its bowl, melee the bowl then the Altar of Hemera at the Monument of Craterus quickly; repeat for all three, then the portal
- Ouranos — at Center of the World, knock zombies into the three arrows around the map to release feathers, shoot each feather twice, place them in the Ouranos Shrine, then complete the portal ritual
- Gaia — shoot the red crystals off three specific plants with a bullet weapon, collect the three seeds, deposit them at the Altar of Gaia, then complete the ritual (portal opens at Spartan Monument)
Ignite three oil spills
Light the Apollo spear in the ignited Eternal Flame, then throw it into each of the three oil spills. Every fire must stay visibly lit before you move on — the spear returns to your shield so re-light and repeat for each spill.
Recovery: if a spill does not catch, retrieve the spear, re-dip it in the Eternal Flame, and throw again — the flame effect wears off over distance/time.
- Upper Road oil spill
- Intersection of Treasuries oil spill
- Spartan Monument oil spill
Charon blood-vision: shoot the four glowing eyes
Fire a charged Charon shot at the Zeus statue. The screen shifts into a red blood-vision and four statues around the map gain glowing eyes. During the vision window, shoot each glowing-eye statue. If the window closes before all four register, recharge Charon, re-trigger at Zeus, and finish the remaining eyes.
Randomised: which statues light up can vary; sweep the four documented eye statues rather than assuming a fixed set. Trust the in-game glow, not an example screenshot.
Reveal & stop three gears, then align the Stoa statues
Shoot the concealed wall sections at the three gear areas until the moving mechanisms appear, then throw the Apollo spear so each moving gear stops exactly as its teeth meet the fixed gear. Aim for the instant of contact — a slow zombie and the mechanical audio cue help you time it. Finally, in the Stoa of the Athenians, wait until all three rotating citizen statues face the white crystal, then throw the spear to lock them.
Recovery: a mistimed gear can be retried after you retrieve and recharge the spear; the Stoa alignment gives a confirmation cue when the chapter completes.
- Gear set 1 — reveal the hidden wall, then spear-stop at tooth contact
- Gear set 2 — reveal and stop at contact
- Gear set 3 — reveal and stop at contact
- Stoa alignment — lock all three statues facing the white crystal
Gaia roots
Use charged Gaia shots to burn the three root sets. The charged shot auto-links nearby roots, so aim each discharge so its chain crosses the whole set in one shot. Clear a Gegenees that spawns on the final set — keep it alive if you can, it is useful for the next step.
- Root set 1 — the root left of Danu / just outside the map
- Root set 2 — the ring of roots around the Danu statue (one charged shot links them all)
- Root set 3 — the roots between Danu and the Mystery Box (a Gegenees spawns; preserve it)
Free the Ankh, place the golden pole, stop three sundials
At the Intersection of Treasuries, bait a Gegenees shield blast into the chaos crystal holding the Ankh (player damage will NOT break it — stand beyond the crystal so the minotaur charges through it). Pick up the fallen Ankh. Kill a Gegenees for the golden pole and place it in the sundial dais at the Offering of the Attalids. Then, for each of three dials: kill an Electric Catalyst zombie while it stands on the sundial to open a window and spin a symbol dial, and interact with the pole early enough that the blue symbol stops under the glowing line.
Per-match symbols: the sundial symbols and which one is blue are live-state — read your own dials. A failed stop flashes white and can be retried immediately; interact slightly early to cover the travel delay.
- Dial 1 — Electric Catalyst on the sundial → stop blue under the line
- Dial 2 — repeat the activation/stop
- Dial 3 — repeat the activation/stop
Ra beam defence and the Scepter
Give the Ankh to the Ra statue, then interact again while holding Redeemed Hemera to install it. Ra fires a beam across the room and skeletons try to block it from both sides of the pool. Kill blockers instantly and control the infinite horde (and Blightfathers) until the wall breaks. Then take the Scepter of Ra from the opened chamber and give it back to the statue.
Recovery: if the beam is blocked too long the step resets — retrieve Hemera from its shrine and retry. A Pegasus Strike Specialist placed at the room entrance is the strongest crowd control here; in co-op assign a left blocker and a right blocker.
Hit Your Marks (amphitheater shooting gallery)
Every player equips a Redeemed Hand and stands on a matching-coloured home circle. When a coloured circle appears, its owner steps on it and attacks: enemies in the stands need regular Hand shots, enemies on the floor need charged shots. When your screen desaturates to black-and-white, run back to your home circle. Complete 3 of 5 rounds; failing three ends that attempt.
Randomised: which circles appear and where is random each round — react to the live cue. Solo vs co-op: solo, you cover every colour yourself (a fast SMG helps you rotate); in co-op record who owns each colour before you start so the desaturation callouts are clean.
Cleanse the Center of the World
After three successful mark rounds, collect the reward (Max Ammo / points) and follow the newly-active Center of the World interaction to complete the final cleansing sequence. When it finishes, the boss portal opens.
Boss: Pegasus, then Perseus
Phase 1 — Pegasus: the corrupted Pegasus circles a set of sky-islands. Shoot it only when it passes within the active island's damage window; normal fire creates the opening, and when it glows orange you commit Specialist damage. Then move — each damaged island collapses, so leave before it falls and rotate across the surviving platforms until Pegasus goes down.
Phase 2 — Perseus (Zombie Warlord): damage Perseus with normal weapons until he glows orange, then hit him with Specialist damage, repeating while you dodge his shield strikes, lightning and teleports. When he dies, pick up the released key/quest item and the ending cutscene completes the Chaos story.
Never chase across a destroyed island. Keep launchers (Hellion Salvo) and charged Hand shots for the normal-damage windows and save the Specialist for the orange phase. Bank a fresh Specialist before the portal so it is up for phase one.
Side Easter Eggs & extras
Everything beyond the main quest. Tap any entry to open the full how-and-where breakdown.
“Stormbound”
Clark S. Nova's Ancient Evil track. Shoot four glowing coins (any order, any weapon): (1) Marketplace — right of the flipped-over table, back-left corner from the Temple of Apollo entrance; (2) Spartan Monument — in the small statue courtyard down the steps from the Stoa of the Athenians door, look up at the handrail above the bloody zombie window for the green coin; (3) River of Sorrow — after riding into the PaP area, follow the right wall down to a female statue and look behind it on the left for the purple coin; (4) Cliff Ruins — in the Forge room, go prone and look under the table to the right of the forge. Online only.
Exalted God Hands
Beyond Redeemed, each God Hand has a further Exalted (final) upgrade tier — a longer optional grind that boosts the gauntlet's damage and effect. Not required for the main quest, but strong for the boss and for co-op role flexibility.
Pegasus Strike & tributes
The Pegasus Strike Specialist is the map's standout crowd-control tool for the Ra beam and the boss. The tribute-challenge economy also feeds the Eternal Flame requirement, so run tributes early for both points and quest progress.
Recommended loadouts
Three strong picks for this map — the map's Wonder Weapon plus reliable box/wall options. These are pre-augment-era games, so the setup is the gun plus Pack-a-Punch and perk synergy.
Titan (Pack-a-Punched)
Horde-clear LMG / boss chipBox or Dark-Side pull; huge magazine suits the Ra beam defence and Hit Your Marks crowd control. Pair with Victorious Tortoise, Stamin-Up and Bandolier Bandit; a fully upgraded automatic is the guide's recommended primary.
Hellion Salvo (Pack-a-Punched)
Burst launcher for the bossGuided rockets punish Pegasus and Perseus in their normal-damage windows before the orange Specialist phase; run PhD Slider to negate self-damage and keep reserves topped for the islands.
Saug 9mm (Pack-a-Punched)
Mobile SMG workhorseCheap early wall/box gun; fast handling for collecting shield pieces, Dormant Hands and rotating between Hit Your Marks circles. Keep as a sidearm once the Titan and Redeemed Hands come online.
