Kino der Toten
The BO1 launch map — a derelict German theatre. No boss quest, but a full set of systems and side secrets: teleporter Pack-a-Punch, the three film reels, the “115” song, two hidden radios, the character portraits and the Pentagon model rocket.
What to do
- Turn on power at the rear of the theater stage (by the curtains)
- Link the stage teleporter to the lobby mainframe, then teleport up to the projector room for Pack-a-Punch
- Recover the 3 random film reels and play each in the projector
- Hidden song “115”: activate the 3 Element-115 fragments
- Shoot the 2 hidden radios — theater chandelier & alley tower
- Interact with the 5 upstairs character portraits
- After all 3 reels are loaded, trigger the Pentagon-room model rocket
Side Easter Eggs & extras
Everything beyond the main quest. Tap any entry to open the full how-and-where breakdown.
“115”
Elena Siegman. Hold interact on the 3 Element-115 fragments — the spawn/lobby corner (in a glass jar by the lower zombie window), the dressing room (black table behind the two mannequins) and the storage room (a shelf beside a zombie window). Any order; once per match.
- Hold Use on 3 meteorite fragments, in any order
- Lobby / spawn room — on a pedestal in the corner beneath the stairs, by the bottom window
- Dressing room — on a pedestal behind the mannequins (the room off the left of the stage)
- Room above the stage (the box-spawn room off the alley) — on the shelf near the alphabet letters
- '115' by Elena Siegman plays — once per game
Film reels
Three random film reels (one per teleporter trip) hide across four possible rooms, three spots each (one room may be empty): Samantha's intact bedroom (table / bed / by the rocking chair) · the destroyed Samantha bedroom (bed / overturned table / by the window) · the dentist / interrogation room (cart by the chair / either counter) · the Pentagon conference room (on the TV / under the projector / front table). Carry each back and load it into the projector; all three loaded is the prerequisite for the model rocket.
Two shootable radios
Shoot the hidden radio up in the theater chandelier, and the one atop the distant tower seen from the alley barrier by Double Tap, for extra story audio (a precise bullet weapon is easiest to confirm).
Character portraits
The upstairs portrait room by the theater holds five framed images — interact with the four Ultimis portraits (the line depends on your character) and the obscured fifth for narrative audio.
Pentagon model rocket
With all three film reels loaded, jump five times in front of the left of the two mannequins by the Speed Cola door in the Dressing Room, then keep taking teleporter trips until one lands in the Pentagon conference room and interact with the small model rocket on the table before the room fades. Full steps below.
- Load all three film reels into the projector first — the rocket ignores you until the reels are done (see the Film reels step).
- In the Dressing Room, stand in front of the LEFT of the two mannequins by the Speed Cola door and jump five times on the spot to arm the rocket. (This mannequin-jump trigger is the community-verified activation; keep the reels loaded as well.)
- Ride the stage teleporter and keep relinking — its destination is random, and the Pentagon conference room is only one of several, so cycle trips until you land there.
- In the Pentagon room, interact with the small model rocket on the table before the room fades — it launches for the story beat.
- If nothing fires, confirm all three reels are loaded, re-do the five jumps at the left mannequin, and teleport again.
Pack-a-Punch trip — timing & cooldown
Each teleporter link is a free trip to the projector-room Pack-a-Punch. Watch the clock above the machine: it shows your remaining time and you're ejected back to the stage the moment the seconds hand reaches 12 — grab your gun before then and never leave one inside. After a trip the teleporter goes on a ~1-minute cooldown before it can be relinked, so line up your 5,000 points before you go. Nova gas crawlers debut here; the stage turret and electric trap are strong hold tools.
“Samantha's Sorrow” (Kino · BO3)
Black Ops 3 / Zombies Chronicles only. A door-knock puzzle at the Alley blue door, then a five-doll hunt for the song and a free Max Ammo. Full steps below.
- Black Ops 3 / Zombies Chronicles only — this quest does not exist in the 2010 Black Ops map.
- Go to the blue door in the Alley (outside, toward the Double Tap side). Listen to a knock sequence, then MELEE the door to repeat the pattern back — e.g. a 1-1-5 pattern is 1 knock, pause, 1 knock, pause, 5 knocks.
- Three separate knock sequences play in turn; match each one. Getting all three right spawns a Samantha doll in front of the stage.
- Interact with that doll, then find and SHOOT 5 more dolls that spawn one at a time around the map (10 known spawn points — including the chandelier orb, the projector-room sill and the stage platform).
- Each doll gives a nearby sound as a proximity cue; a Samantha laugh means you failed (too slow or wrong doll) and you restart from the first doll.
- After the fifth doll, interact with the standing doll again to finish “Samantha's Sorrow” — the song plays and a free Max Ammo spawns.
Recommended loadouts
Three strong picks for this map — the map's Wonder Weapon plus reliable box/wall options. These are pre-augment-era games, so the setup is the gun plus Pack-a-Punch and perk synergy.
Thundergun
Panic buttonBox only. One shot flattens a whole horde — save it for when you're swarped on the stage. PaP into the Zeus Cannon for more ammo.
Ray Gun
All-roundBox. Splash clears trains; Jug + Speed Cola + Double Tap is the classic backbone.
MP5K / MPL (PaP)
Early economyCheap wall SMGs that carry the early rounds; Pack-a-Punch to keep them alive into the 20s while you fish the box.
